Contact House Education and Workforce Committee Members and Urge Them to Support the Woolsey Amendment to Restore State Administration Funding

July 20, 2004 — At the House Education and the Workforce Committee markup hearing tomorrow, Representative Lynn Woolsey (D-CA) will offer an amendment to restore state administration funding at five percent of the basic state grant. The NASDCTEc is highly supportive of this amendment and would like to demonstrate our support to the full committee. Accordingly, attached, please find the letter the NASDCTEc is sending to all of the members of the House Education and the Workforce Committee requesting that they support the Woolsey Amendment.
ACTION NEEDED: Contact your House Education and Workforce Committee members and ask for their support for the Woolsey state administration amendment.The NASDCTEc would also like to encourage you to contact your representatives today and urge them to support the Woolsey amendment. The attached letter can serve as a template for the letter that you send to your representatives. A fax and email list for the committee staff has also been attached.
Please inform NASDCTEc staff of any feedback you get in regard to the Woolsey amendment.
