Here we provide a range of resources that provide valuable information about the Common Career Technical Core. We include resources to help build your knowledge and documents that you can share with stakeholders in your community. The Declaration of Support is a document for State Directors to declare the interest in participating in the creation of the Common Career Technical Core. Participating in the creation of the CCTC provides an opportunity for the state to have representatives on the working groups for each of the 16 Career Cluster™ areas. The goal is to have the Declaration of Support completed by January 31, 2012.

The document provides a side by side comparison of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) standard setting guidelines and the Common Career Technical Core. The guidelines serve as a framework for establishing the standards within the CCTC.

The Career Readiness Partner Council (CRPC) is a task force initiative of NASDCTEc to bring together thought leaders, research and practitioners from national organizations with the goal of providing advice and support in the development, adoption and implementation of the CCTC. The document provides an overview of the work of the Council and the organizations represented.
The primary goals of the council are to:
• Develop consensus on a definition for career readiness;
• Review and advise NASDCTEc on the development, adoption and implementation of a Common Career Technical Core. -
The recorded Webinar was provided to State CTE Directors and staff to provide an update on the process and strategies associated with the development of the Common Career Technical Core Initiative. The recording is 56 minutes in length and provides an update on the Career Clusters™ Knowledge and Skills revision process as well as information about the Common Career Technical Core.
