Fall 2007 Meeting Invitation Letter
NASDCTEc is pleased to invite you to attend its Fall 2007 meeting. Our host, the state of North Carolina, is working with us to develop a fantastic agenda.
Below is a special North Carolina welcome and invitation from Rebecca Payne, Head of Career-Techncial Education.
NASDCTEc….Welcome to Charlotte!!
Named one of the “50 Hottest Cities,” Charlotte is home to NASCAR, the NFL’s Carolina Panthers, the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats, Lowe’s Home Improvement, Johnson and Wales University, and banking giants Wachovia and Bank of America.
While attending the conference, guests will hear from leaders in one of the nation’s most explosive industries – Biotechnology! Learn what the industry expects of educators to help meet the needs of this high-growth profession.
If guests desire, they may visit one of NASCAR’s legendary venues – The Lowe’s Motor Speedway! LMS is home to NASCAR’s Nextel All-Star Challenge, the Coca-Cola 600, the Bank of America 500, and countless other events!
Our conference facility is the Hilton Charlotte Center City, located in beautiful uptown Charlotte. The facility is located minutes from the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center, Discovery Place, the Children's Hands on Museum, and the Mint Museum of Craft and Design. The Hilton Charlotte Center City hotel location makes it easy to walk to Charlotte's best restaurants, clubs and shops.
The Charlotte Campus of Johnson and Wales University, established in 2004, is a blend of traditional and cutting edge – combining the best of America’s northern and southern cultures. Nearly 2,500 students are currently enrolled in the College of Business, the College of Culinary Arts and the Hospitality College. JWU Charlotte students represent 46 states and nine foreign countries. We will have a special state dinner at JWU one evening! In the meantime, we wanted to get you some initial information so that you can begin making your travel arrangements.
