Fall 2008 Meeting Invitation Letter
NASDCTEc is pleased to invite you to attend our Fall 2008 meeting being held in fabulous Mystic, Connecticut. Our Connecticut hosts have been hard at work preparing an agenda filled with great learning opportunities.Here are the details to get you started in your planning.
Dates: Sunday, September 7 – Thursday, September 11, 2008
Meeting location: Mystic Marriott Hotel and Spa located at 625 North Road, Route 117 in Groton, Connecticut.
Getting to the hotel: You have several options to get to the Mystic Marriott.
- Fly into the Providence airport, which is approximately 45 miles away.
- Fly into the Hartford airport, which is approximately 60 miles away.
- Take the Amtrak train right into Mystic. Taxis from the train station is approximately $15.
- Taxis from either the Providence or Hartford airport is a significant expense (close to $200).
- The hotel does not offer a shuttle but recommends the Airport Car Service (401-265-5356) or a rental car.
- Self-parking at the hotel is complimentary, valet is $5 a day.
Hotel reservations: at the Mystic Marriott Hotel and Spa can be made by calling 1-866-449-7390 and requesting the NASDCTEc Fall meeting room block to be assured the special room rate of $129 plus applicable taxes (single/double). You can also reserve a room through the
Mystic Marriott Hotel . You need to enter the group code of nasnasa to be assured the group rate.
Reservations will require a first night’s deposit, which is refundable up to 24 hours prior to your arrival. The hotel has a limited number of rooms at the special room rate three days before and after our event. These are on a first come, first serve basis.
Meeting registration: Please register online at www.careertech.org/meeting/fall/2008. Your meeting registration covers three continental breakfasts, two lunches and two evening events that include dinner. Attire: The fall meeting is casual attire. Please note special attire recommendations for the site visits on September 9, 2008.
