New Friends of CTE Blog Series Provides Platform for CTE Advocates
Silver Spring, MD, December 22, 2011 – As part of a new Friends of CTE Blog Series, Deanna Lewis of Home Builders Institute (HBI) will highlight the work of Career Technical Education (CTE) instructors. Lewis will focus on the way CTE instructors instill passion in students while preparing them to meet workforce needs. Lewis’ blog post is scheduled to run in mid-January.
The Friends of CTE Blog is a monthly guest blog piece hosted by the National Association of State Directors of Career Technical Education Consortium (NASDCTEc). The blog provides advocates – from business and industry, the research community and organizations – an opportunity to articulate their support for CTE. Guest bloggers provide their perspective on and experience with CTE as it relates to policy, the economy and education.
Lewis, Director for Career & Certification Services at HBI, joined the organization in 2001 and draws from a rich background that combines experiences in the education, business and nonprofit sectors.
