NASDCTEc's Membership Categories
NASDCTEc has three types of open memberships:
| Category | Membership Fee | Definition |

| Associate Member State Employee | $75 | State-level employees who reside in a state
that maintains a NASDCTEc membership. Membership covers one person and is non-transferable. |
| Associate Member Individual | $100 | An individual who wishes to
join the association. The individual must be part of the
educational delivery system (administrators, teachers,
etc.). Vendors, businesses, and organizations are not
eligible for this membership category. Membership covers one person and is non-transferable. |
| Organizational | $1500 | Organizations that support CTE. For example,
state agencies, local educational agencies, organizations
(both profit and not-for-profit) and other businesses
and corporations that want to be members of NASDCTEc. Membership covers three persons. Additional employees can be added at the rate of $75 per person. |
Dues are billed in April of each year. The membership and fiscal year runs July 1 – June 30. Dues are not tax-deductible.

It is said that we are in the information age and that information and knowledge is power. NASDCTEc is critical to providing you the information needed to stay current on the issues, events, legislation, activities, etc. that impact or influence career technical education; information critical to turning challenges into opportunities and assuring opportunities become successes.
NASDCTEc members enjoy timely receipt of information through our web page, listservs, email updates, and monthly electronic newsletter, E-lert. We provide individualized research services for our members, conducting surveys and research, sharing information, etc.
Policy Development & Alliance Formation
NASDCTEc represents the state directors with Congress, the Administration and other affiliated associations, the national press, etc. Our message is to promote a strong state role for career technical education and to continue to expand federal funding for career technical education. In addition, the association publishes reference documents, conducts surveys, etc. as the need arises.
Professional Development
NASDCTEc hosts two national meetings each year – a Spring Meeting, traditionally held in Washington, D.C.; a Fall Meeting held in September at a location chosen by the Board. These meetings provide necessary information on legislation, research, and emerging issues important to career technical education. There are networking and sharing opportunities, updates on the partnership activities with the economic development, workforce development and education reform communities and much, much more. These are professional growth and learning opportunities not to miss!
