Expanding Career Readiness Through Online Learning

States have taken many different approaches to expanding access to Career Technical Education (CTE) and career readiness oppurtunities for each learner. One approach, online learning, has increasingly become popular. This report from the Association of Career and Technical Education (ACTE) examines how online learning is being employed to ensure that learners have access to high-quality CTE programs and the academic, technical and employability skills necessary to be successful in the labor market. The report examines delivery methods and the benefits of online learning, and provides next steps that leaders can take to ensure each learner has access to high-quality online learning that includes academic, technical and employability skills. A useful resource for state leaders looking to expand access to CTE and career readiness oppurtunities, this report provides examples of online learning programs in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia
